As the brake pad wears, the used friction material turns into a fine dust. This boundary layer of heat, gas and dust builds up between the pad and rotor surfaces and inhibits performance. Here's where Power Slot's slotted brake rotors make a big difference. Power Slot's exclusive Vac-U-Slots are machined into the rotor and help evacuate gasses and dust, shed heat, and keep the brake pad surface clean. And in wet, raining conditions, our Vac-U-Slot helps push water off the braking surface for better stopping power. The Vac-U-Slot also serves as a visual wear indicator. The slot is machined to the rotor’s minimum thickness where it crosses the outside edge. If you cannot see the slot along the outside edge, the rotor has worn down to its discard depth. This kit features 14 inch 2 piece rotors with floating aluminum hats, large 4 piston calipers with Steeda logo, DOT legal stainless steel brake lines, mounting brackets, hardware, and brake pads. Unlike our competitor's kits, Steeda went the extra mile and designed this kit with the proper piston sizes for compatibility with the sensitive S197 Mustang Anti-Lock brake system. This is an important safety factor under severe braking. Improper sizing can lead to ABS malfunction and increased stopping distances! The revolutionary G-Trac bar was developed by Steeda's SCCA road race team to stiffen the Fox body K-member and maintain proper suspension geometry in max-G cornering. Such a good idea, it was copied by the factory starting in 1994. We still do it better. Includes all hardware and instructions.

Steeda Full length subframe connectors have been improved with a new one-piece reinforced cross brace. Some subframe cross braces have 8 individual gussets which must be carefully positioned and welded on. Still other kits use no reinforcements at all. Steeda cross braces now have reinforcing gussets built-in, for greater strength with less welding.
These true full-length connectors run the entire length of the floor pan for increased chassis rigidity, better handling and improved ride. The beefy 1.25 by 2 inch connectors are perfect for serious cars with high horsepower, sticky tires or competition suspension. They are reinforced at each bend and include Steeda’s exclusive torque box reinforcing plate for a stronger attachment to the rear subframe.
Full-length subframe connectors are available in bare steel or zinc plated finish. The zinc plating can be welded over, and then only the weld joints need to be spray-painted vs. the whole kit needing to be spray-painted. |

1979 thru 1993 hatch back will require light trimming of factory inner quarter panel sight plugs over rear shocks. All other models will require trimming of factory inner trunk liner. |
